Company Description

Burlington Media Group Ltd (based in Mortlake) is a dynamic independent B2B online media, magazine publisher, and events business. With a growing team we specialise in supporting the information needs of law firm operational teams, aiding them to make smarter, more informed management decisions.

Our two-decision maker only brands – Briefing and Legal Practice Management – deliver curated content designed specifically for leadership teams in UK law firms. Additionally, our flagship channel, LegalSupportNetwork.co.uk (LSN), serves as a vibrant online hub and community resource showcasing supplier content for any professionals in law firm operations.

Building on years of trusted relationships across the legal sector, we have also developed Unicorn, an interactive data service tailored to suppliers, enabling meaningful connections and driving successful marketing campaigns across the profession.

About the Role

Are you a natural relationship builder who thrives on creating meaningful connections and delivering impactful solutions? Do you have a passion for sales, an enthusiasm for creating integrated marketing solutions campaigns, and have the determination to grow a thriving client base?

We’re seeking a Business Development Manager who will drive new business opportunities on our leading large law brand Briefing. The Briefing portfolio provides cross-media services through digital, events, and research so is ideally suited to someone who is used to portfolio selling. This role will require the individual to work closely with the internal production, content, and marketing departments with emphasis on conducting dual calls wherever possible to deliver revenues across our growing portfolio.

Key areas of focus on Briefing are the continued growth of our digital content and advertising channels, introduction to our structured conference program, and the delivery of high value bespoke research projects. The Business Development Manager will play a central role in the delivery of these revenues and the future development of profitable revenue streams.

The role will suit an entrepreneurial salesperson with at least 2 years of successful media selling experience who is used to handling high value accounts and looking for the next step in their sales career.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
