Business Development Manager - Cybersecurity Services
Fully Remote UK
£40,000–£60,000 basic salary x2 OTE
Profectus Recruitment is recruiting for an established cybersecurity services provider looking to add up to two Business Development Managers to its successful sales team.
This is a genuine new business role for someone who enjoys prospecting, opening doors and creating opportunities. You could already be a successful BDM, or you may be an experienced SDR who is ready to take the next step in your career.
The company is particularly interested in your attitude, sales ability and new business mentality. Experience within cybersecurity would be advantageous, although applications are also welcomed from strong new business salespeople working within MSP or IT services environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and selling cybersecurity services to private-sector organisations across the UK.
This is a high-activity, telephone-led sales position where you will be expected to make approximately 100 calls per day. You must be comfortable picking up the phone, speaking to prospective customers and building your own pipeline rather than relying primarily on email or inbound leads.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
