Business Development Manager – Contract Manufacturing
Nantwich / Hybrid – customer travel required
£Competitive + bonus + benefits
I’m working with a family-owned UK contract manufacturer that’s growing quickly across the nutrition, health, beauty and wellness space.
The business specialises in premium liquid single-serve tubes, working with a range of well-known consumer brands across the UK and Europe. With around 50m tubes produced per year, capacity to scale significantly further, and a wider manufacturing group behind them, they’re now looking to hire a Business Development Manager to help unlock the next stage of growth.
This is a proper new business role - but not cold, transactional selling. You’ll be targeting brands, ingredient suppliers, strategic partners and consumer businesses that need a high-quality manufacturing partner for innovative liquid formats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and win new contract manufacturing opportunities across nutrition, wellness, beauty and consumer health
- Build relationships with brand owners, suppliers, distributors and strategic partners
- Develop a strong pipeline of projects, from first conversation through to commercial launch
- Work closely with internal teams on feasibility, pricing, technical requirements and production timelines
- Represent the business credibly in front of founders, commercial teams, procurement and technical stakeholders
- Keep close to market trends across liquid supplements, collagen, protein, energy, health and functional products
- Help position the business as a go-to manufacturing partner for innovative single-serve liquid formats

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
