About the Role
We’re keen to speak with experienced commercial professionals who have a proven track record of selling into the built environment, urban planning and construction sectors. If you understand these markets, know how to navigate them and have an established network, we’d love to hear from you.
I’m currently recruiting for an innovative space technology company that is expanding its commercial team and looking for an experienced Business Development Manager. The company develops and delivers space-based technology solutions to organisations across a range of industries. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business where you’ll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing meaningful customer relationships and helping to expand the company’s presence across new markets.
The Opportunity
As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the built environment, urban planning, construction, infrastructure and utilities sectors. We’re particularly interested in individuals who already have experience selling into these markets and who understand the challenges organisations face, how they operate and what drives their commercial decision-making.
Your industry knowledge, relationships and network will be key to identifying potential customers, understanding their requirements and introducing innovative space technology solutions that can deliver genuine value. Working closely with technical and commercial colleagues, you’ll help shape opportunities, develop tailored propositions and manage the sales journey from initial engagement through to contract.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
