Business Development Manager – Food / FMCG
West Midlands
Circa £35,000 + Bonus + Package
Field-Based | Established Food Business | Excellent Earning Potential
Moorland Recruitment are working with an established and growing food business looking to appoint an experienced Sales Representative to develop and grow its customer base across the West Midlands.
This is a genuine field-sales position suited to someone who enjoys getting out in front of customers, building strong commercial relationships and winning new business.
The Role
You’ll take responsibility for developing sales across an established geographical patch, managing existing relationships while identifying and converting new opportunities.

Day to day, you’ll be:
- Developing and growing B2B customer relationships across the West Midlands
- Identifying and winning new business across the food sector
- Managing and developing an existing customer base
- Conducting regular face-to-face customer visits
- Negotiating pricing, terms and commercial opportunities
- Working proactively to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Building a strong understanding of customers, competitors and the local market
- Developing long-term relationships that deliver repeat and sustainable business

About You
We’re looking for an experienced sales professional rather than a graduate-level hire, ideally with previous exposure to food, meat, FMCG, foodservice, wholesale, retail or distribution.
You’ll ideally have:
- A proven track record within B2B field sales
- Evidence of achieving or exceeding commercial targets
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach
- The confidence to develop new business and manage existing accounts
Experience within food/FMCG or a related sector would be highly advantageous
Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
