I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a strong track record in new business sales and business development, particularly in creating opportunities, opening new relationships, and converting those opportunities into revenue.
Do you need data centre experience?
Yes.

What you've sold is less important. You could come from power, energy, electrical infrastructure, cooling, industrial rental, or another technical product or service. What matters is that you can demonstrate a strong track record of developing relationships, creating opportunities, and winning new business within the data centre sector.
You'll be commercially driven, credible, entrepreneurial, and comfortable creating your own opportunities. You'll also be comfortable spending significant time speaking with customers, presenting solutions, and meeting clients face to face, with travel across the UK & Ireland as required.
Why join?
Data centres and energy are becoming increasingly interconnected. Power availability, resilience, and speed to deployment are fundamental to the growth of the sector, putting this business right at the heart of an incredibly exciting market.
You'll have autonomy, excellent leadership, and the opportunity to build a significant territory within a growing international organisation.
There is real earning potential, genuine career progression, and the opportunity for this role to become much bigger as the market grows.
If you're a proven salesperson who wants to build something, develop within the data centre sector, and be rewarded for the value you create, I'd love to hear from you.
