About the role

The Business Development Manager is a strategic and commercially driven role, responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the European market. The position focuses on expanding Lumenis' market presence, strengthening its distribution network and supporting long-term business growth.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of European markets, industry trends, competitor activities, customer segments and regulatory environments.
  • Identify and assess potential distributors, strategic partners, key stakeholders and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support market expansion and product adoption.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and industry influencers, provide actionable market insights to management, identify new business opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable growth across the region.
  • Identify, evaluate, recruit and onboard potential distributors in targeted markets.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Finance and Legal teams to support business-development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in business development, commercial leadership or strategic sales within the medical device, healthcare, aesthetics or related sectors.
  • Proven experience identifying and developing distributor networks across Europe.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and partnership-management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex market dynamics and translate insights into business opportunities.
  • Experience operating in a multinational and matrix environment.
  • Fluent English; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Europe (up to 50%).
  • Strategic thinking, Market intelligence and analysis capabilities, Results orientation and Cross-cultural communication.
