Roles & Responsibilities
- Builds excellent internal relationships with Managers at all levels, understanding the dynamics between all departments.
- To maintain excellent Customer relationships at both Senior and day to day levels. Creating strategic relationships in order to maximise growth and sales potential.
- Has a deep understanding of freight forwarding, current trends, market constraints and able to identify gaps in the market and areas of opportunity.
- Responsible for problem solving, working cross functionally, being open minded and creative to find alternative solutions to problems when they may arise.
- Responsible for the Sales and Operating Process (S&OP), generating data to accurately predict both the Monthly sales forecast but also the annual budgets. Requires accurate costings, good knowledge of volumes and customer sales forecast and performance.
- Responsible for the achievement of Customer KPI’s and driving initiatives to achieve these.
- Responsible for Margin Improvement initiatives on all accounts within remit to improve GFS profitability.
- To develop and sustain strategic partnerships with Customers and ensure that resource is effectively utilized and developed.
- Create and present Business and Product presentations when required.
- Any reasonable additional duties requested or delegated by your manager.

Education & Experience
- A level and/or Degree Level in Business Administration, Sales
- Spoken and written English Language
- Excellent level of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Preferred Criteria
- Proven working experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a relevant role
- Proven sales track record
- Sales knowledge from a course/degree or job experience
- Market knowledge
- Able to work as part of a team and demonstrate team working attributes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills – able to communicate to a variety of different stakeholders
- Ability to build rapport
- Time management and planning skills
- Knowledge of Cargowise CRM would be an advantage
