Role Description
The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across mailing, print, and fulfilment services, and for expanding relationships with existing clients. Day-to-day activities include prospecting, qualifying leads, conducting client meetings, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with operations and account management teams to design tailored solutions, ensure smooth project delivery, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. The role also involves tracking market trends, attending industry events, and contributing to sales forecasts and strategic planning.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management, within DMA, print, mailing, fulfilment, or related service industries.
- Strong skills in lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex service offerings, translate client requirements into practical solutions, and prepare clear, compelling proposals.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, including managing multiple opportunities, prioritizing workload, and working independently in a hybrid environment.
- Comfort with CRM software and basic data analysis to monitor performance, report on activities, and support decision-making.
- Knowledge of or interest in print production, mailing logistics, compliance requirements, and direct-to-consumer fulfilment processes is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
