Essential Requirements

  • British nationality is required.
  • Proven business development or sales experience within Defence, Cyber Security, or a closely related technical environment.
  • A strong understanding of Cyber Security, Cyber Assurance, or Resilience services with the ability to engage technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Experience developing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and supporting successful bids or tenders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the confidence to influence decision-makers.

  • Develop new business opportunities across the Defence and Security sector, building a sustainable pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients, identifying opportunities for growth across multiple service areas.
  • Support bid and tender activities, working closely with technical specialists and bid teams to develop compelling proposals.
  • Provide market insight, sales forecasting, and strategic input to support business growth plans.
  • Represent the organisation at customer meetings, industry events, and networking activities across the UK.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives that promote specialist cyber assurance and resilience services.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrable success in business development, sales, or account management within Defence, Cyber Security, or professional services.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Assurance, Cyber Resilience, or wider cyber security services and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience managing opportunity pipelines, supporting bids, and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with an established professional network within Defence, Security, or related sectors.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify market opportunities and contribute to business growth.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with a willingness to travel across the UK when required.

Where You Will Work

  • Cheltenham based with hybrid working. Applications from across the UK are welcomed where regular travel to Cheltenham and customer sites is practical. UK travel will form part of the role, and occasional international travel may be required.
