Great opportunity for a commercially savvy Business Development Manager to join an established, employee-owned market research agency at an exciting point in its growth. Working with a diverse mix of UK and international clients, the agency delivers high-quality, bespoke research across a range of sectors and methodologies.

This is a key strategic role on the leadership team of this boutique business, taking ownership of the new business pipeline, identifying and developing prospects across the UK and Europe, building relationships and taking opportunities from initial conversation through to proposal, negotiation and close. Lead generation will be varied encompassing networking, referrals, industry events, targeted outreach and social media activity.

You’ll need to be a confident, consultative market research salesperson who can quickly understand a client’s business challenge and work with the research team to shape a bespoke solution. Strong communication and relationship-building skills will be key, as will the commercial confidence to discuss scope, pricing and negotiate successfully. You’ll also have an important role in raising the agency’s profile through LinkedIn, case studies and other marketing activity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
