Business Development Manager

Territories: London or Northern England - 2 roles available
Location: Field Based
Salary: £50,000 basic + Commission + Benefits (negotiable)

Join a private equity-backed leader in temporary temperature control solutions that is experiencing significant growth across the UK. With a strong reputation for delivering critical heating and cooling solutions, the business is investing heavily in its commercial team as it expands into new markets and customer sectors.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation where you'll have the autonomy to develop your territory, win new customers and play a key role in the next stage of the company's growth.

The Opportunity:

This is a hunter-led field sales role focused on developing new business and growing existing customer relationships across your territory.

  • Approximately 60% of your time will be focused on proactive business development, with the remaining 40% supporting and converting marketing-generated enquiries.
  • You'll work closely with M&E contractors, councils, housing associations, NHS estates, facilities management providers and other project-led customers requiring temporary boiler and chiller solutions.
  • Technical surveys and solution design are supported by an experienced internal team, allowing you to focus on commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities across your assigned territory
  • Build relationships with M&E contractors, facilities management companies, councils, housing associations, NHS estates and other project-led customers.
  • Identify opportunities for temporary boiler and chiller hire solutions.
  • Win new customers while developing existing accounts
  • Manage your sales pipeline through CRM, maintaining accurate forecasting and activity.
  • Work collaboratively with internal technical and operational teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings and site visits.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven success in B2B field sales with a strong track record of winning new business.
  • Experience selling into M&E contractors, estates, facilities management, public sector or similar project-led customers.
  • Strong territory planning, pipeline management and forecasting skills.
  • Confident engaging with procurement teams, estates managers, project managers and building services professionals.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience:

  • Boiler, chiller, HVAC, hire or rental, construction products or technical services.
  • Sufficient technical aptitude to understand customer requirements and coordinate internal survey support.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Winning new customers across your territory.
  • Growing existing customer accounts.
  • Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Achieving revenue growth targets.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
