London | US Market
TYG is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing London team, with a focus on winning new business and building long-term client accounts across the US market.
This is still a recruitment role, but with a much bigger emphasis on the commercial side of the job.
We are looking for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and turning new clients into established accounts that continue to generate business.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for developing new client relationships across the US Architecture, Engineering and Construction market, identifying businesses we should be working with and creating opportunities across those accounts.
Rather than simply winning one role and moving onto the next client, the focus will be on building proper relationships across each business.
That means getting to know multiple decision makers, understanding where they are hiring, identifying opportunities across different teams and locations, and growing the account over time.
You'll still be involved in recruitment and have ownership of the opportunities you create, but business development and account growth will be a major part of your role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
