Business Development Manager
We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager who will work within the Commercial Team to drive volume and profitability within the consumer packed goods channel.
As Allicio’s Business Development Manager the successful candidate will on a day-to-day basis:
- Responsible for an annual budget which reflects up to 25% existing business and a focus on 75% new business
- Work with internal colleagues to engage with potential new customers and sell the products and services offered by Allicio in ways that demonstrates the industry leading standards delivered.
- Work in ways that promotes Allicio’s unique capabilities to make fast paced decisions and produce quality products to enhance the conversion of “potential” customers to “actual” customers.
- Work with internal colleagues, external suppliers, and customers to achieve the volume and contribution targets set by the Company.
- In line with the company process, produce accurate monthly forecasts.
- Maximise all opportunities for growth in terms of volume and the profitability of products.
- Working alone and as needed with the support of colleagues to identify and onboard sales leads/new customers.
- Attend trade shows and other similar events to maintain relationships with existing suppliers and customers and use these same events to network and attract potential new customers.
- Provide support to the Head of Sales as they complete cross functional projects.
- Carry out other sales activities that attract new customers and maintain or improve relationships with existing customers.

Requirements
To be Allicio’s Business Development Manager the successful candidate will:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in an Account Manager/BDM role within the contract manufacturing sector within sports or medical nutrition.
- A hunger and desire to attract and convert profitable new business.
- Previous experience of sales in dry powder products is preferred.
- Proven experience of attracting sales leads and converting these into actual sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop and present effective presentations to both suppliers and customers.
- Proven knowledge of the end-to-end sales process and the ability to use this knowledge to enhance the Company’s performance.
- Proven ability to manage projects in ways that ensures success.
- Proven ability to use Microsoft Office 365 products to enhance the experiences of customers, suppliers, and internal colleagues.
