Roma Medical Aids Ltd is one of the UK’s leading independent manufacturers and suppliers of mobility and rehabilitation equipment. The company serves the UK private sector through an established dealer network and supplies directly to hospitals and local authorities. Roma Medical also exports to 22 countries worldwide, offering strong international reach and market presence. Its product portfolio includes electric mobility scooters, powered and manual wheelchairs, walking aids, antimicrobial products, commodes, shower chairs and sanichairs, bariatric products, and bathroom aids. Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities across the North of the UK, focusing on mobility retailers, community loan stores, and local authorities.

This role involves:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
  • Conducting market research to identify emerging trends and customer needs in mobility and rehabilitation equipment
  • Preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, managing pipelines
  • Collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, product, and operations to ensure effective delivery and customer satisfaction

Regular reporting on sales performance, forecasting, and participation in virtual meetings, industry events, and online demonstrations will be part of daily activities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in business development, B2B sales, and account management within healthcare, medical devices, or related sectors.
  • Experience in market research, lead generation, and strategic planning to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet targets with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of mobility and rehabilitation products or willingness to develop strong product knowledge quickly.
