Business Development Manager

Salary: to £50,000 + car allowance

Location: Worksop, although you will manage your own diary around client meetings

A growing recruitment and staffing business is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition across industrial engineering, construction, equipment hire and plant hire markets. The company is expanding due to sustained demand and requires a commercially minded professional who can build a strong pipeline, convert opportunities and support long-term strategic growth.

This role suits someone who understands operational cycles, annual shutdowns and workforce planning within industrial environments. Candidates from outside of the recruitment sector are welcome to apply, provided they have a solid grasp of market dynamics and can operate confidently in a client-facing role.

The Role

You will be responsible for identifying, engaging and securing new business opportunities across high-demand sectors. This is a field-based, relationship-led role requiring regular client visits and the ability to manage your own diary effectively.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
