The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of a small number of long established spending accounts, with approximately 70% of your time focused on developing these relationships and 30% on generating new business within the Industrial OEM market.
You will sell a range of electronic components and industrial products including semiconductors, amplifiers, processors, power management solutions and related technologies. The role involves working with technical customers such as Design Engineers and procurement teams, understanding requirements, identifying opportunities and developing long-term commercial relationships across the UK.

The Location
This is a national UK role, operating on a hybrid basis with approximately one day in the office every few weeks. Our client are an Essex based business and are looking for applicants based in the South East. Regular UK travel required.
Requirements
- B2B field sales experience, within a technical or OEM environment
- An appreciation of electronics and technical terminology
- Ability to understand technical requirements and read technical drawings
- Commercially driven, proactive and comfortable developing new relationships
- A confident, resilient approach with the ability to pick up the phone and get in front of customers

The Package
- £50,000-£55,000 basic salary
- 20% annual commission
- Company car or car allowance offered
