Business Development Manager
UK Remote | Manchester Office Available | Permanent
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, a clean full UK driving licence and 5 years + experience working for a MSP.
About the Business
A well-established technology solutions provider delivering problem-led outcomes across cloud, security, workplace, data centre, virtualisation modernisation, and managed services. They work with mid-market and enterprise organisations operating complex, secure, and distributed environments — helping them design, deploy, and manage the technology infrastructure that underpins how they operate. Their portfolio spans hybrid and on-premise infrastructure, SASE and SD-WAN, threat detection and response, intelligent automation, and global technology deployment. This is a business with real technical depth and a strong delivery reputation.
About the Role
This is a newly created Business Development Manager position — a pure hunter role with no existing book of business to fall back on. They are looking for someone who has spent their career in MSP or technology solutions sales, understands the market, and comes with a network they can activate from day one. The role is fully remote with the option to work from their Manchester office when it suits you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
