About Profusion Limited
Profusion Limited is a specialist semiconductor distributor based in Essex with an established presence across the UK, Europe and Asia. As a professional, growing company of 10 staff, we combine deep technical expertise with strong customer relationships in the audio semiconductor sector.
The business is now entering an exciting expansion phase, looking to leverage our technical capabilities and market position to develop adjacent market opportunities in Sonar applications and Power applications (including power conversion and motor drives). This represents a significant growth opportunity for the right candidate.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive market growth and develop new business opportunities across our core audio business and into our target expansion markets. You will be responsible for developing business within the UK market, while also working closely with our suppliers and contract manufacturers overseas.

- Develop and maintain relationships with C-suite decision makers at customer and supplier organizations
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and contract manufacturers overseas to support customer projects and supply arrangements
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to both customer executives and engineering teams
- Lead the sales process from initial opportunity identification through contract closure
- Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and match them with appropriate semiconductor solutions
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and forecast accurately
- Represent Profusion Limited at industry events, conferences and trade shows
- Collaborate with the internal technical team to support customer projects and technical discussions
- Deliver presentations both in-person and via Microsoft Teams
- Travel as required to support UK customer relationships and overseas supplier/contract manufacturer engagement

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
