Role Description
This hybrid on-site Business Development Manager role is based in Chiswick, West London. The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with e-commerce sellers, marketplace partners, and logistics stakeholders, and supporting the growth of Orange Connex’s services within the UK and European markets.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

- Researching target markets
- Preparing proposals and presentations
- Negotiating commercial terms
- Collaborating with internal teams such as operations, technology, and account management to ensure service offerings meet client needs
- Tracking performance metrics
- Providing regular sales and pipeline reports
- Contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance Orange Connex’s market presence
The Business Development Manager will require proactive engagement with prospects at industry events, meetings, and onsite visits.
Qualifications
- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and negotiation.
- Client relationship management skills, with experience building long-term partnerships in logistics, e-commerce, or related sectors.
- Analytical and research skills to assess market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex logistics and technology solutions to diverse audiences.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce marketplaces is strongly advantageous.
- Comfort working with CRM systems and basic data tools for pipeline tracking and performance reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Chiswick and engage with internal and external stakeholders in person.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred (proficiency in English being of utmost priority, followed by at least one other European language)
