About SEB Professional UK

SEB PROFESSIONAL UK is the supplier of high-quality, professional coffee machines (B2B) for the WMF, Schaerer, and Curtis brands. From our offices and showroom in Uxbridge, around 160 employees, including 99 service technicians, are responsible for sales and service to hospitality businesses, government institutions, offices, gas stations, and private companies.

Our growing company is part of Groupe SEB: the world's largest manufacturer of personal care, household appliances, and cookware, headquartered in Lyon, France.

What we will achieve together

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and capitalising on business opportunities within SEB Professional UK Limited. This includes building and nurturing relationships with potential customers while implementing targeted growth strategies. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving defined targets and budgets
  • Planning and forecasting performance
  • Reporting progress to the line manager while ensuring adherence to company processes
  • Driving the implementation of agreed strategies to uncover new business opportunities
  • Staying informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and proactively addressing potential risks and opportunities to develop effective sales solutions
  • Supporting and representing the company at relevant events and exhibitions

Education and Knowledge

  • Sales background and development experience is required
  • Understanding of the industry

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strategic and planning mindset
  • Ability to build professional relationships with decision makers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and relevant tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
