📍This role can be based in any of our FVL operations including Upper Heyford, Chipping Warden, and Sheerness with regular travel to customers meetings and remote working on selected days. 🪙 We offer a competitive salary, company car or car allowance, bonus, private medical coverage, and more.

YOUR ROLE

Our Finished Vehicle Logistics team has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their team. In this role, you will identify, qualify and close new and existing business opportunities, focusing on selling FVL products to our customers, building profitability, and creating recurring revenue streams. You will support the Head of Business Development in achieving growth targets across our FVL products, aligning objectives and strategies while collaborating with operational and product leaders.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting to the Head of Business Development for FVL, you will:

  • Drive New Business Growth: Proactively prospect and identify new business opportunities, leveraging your UK automotive industry knowledge to target the right clients and markets.
  • Research and Analyse: Study market trends, analyse competitive landscapes, and uncover potential clients or partnerships to expand the company’s reach and revenue streams.
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Use your ability to forge and build strong relationships with prospects, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the UK BD team and Europe where needed, marketing, product development, operations, and other teams to execute business development initiatives effectively.
  • Deliver Results: Maintain a tenacious and non-defeatist attitude, approaching challenges with a "can-do" motivation to find contacts and secure new business.
  • Think Strategically: Demonstrate strong initiative and strategic thinking to position CEVA as a leader in Finished Vehicle Logistics.

  • UK Automotive Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the UK automotive sector is essential.
  • Prospecting Skills: The ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities with a proactive and "can-do" mindset.
  • Tenacity: A non-defeatist attitude and the drive to overcome obstacles and secure new business.
  • Collaborative Spirit: The ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
  • Strategic Mindset: A strategic thinker with the ability to align business development efforts with broader company goals.
  • Initiative: Strong initiative to take ownership of projects and drive them forward.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Relationship-Led Business Development: A demonstrable career history of nurturing customer relationships from tender stage through to successful contract award, implementation, and mobilisation.
