About M&A Traffic Management Solutions

M&A Traffic Management Solutions Ltd is a rapidly growing traffic management company providing safe, reliable and cost-effective traffic management services throughout Scotland and Northern England.

We provide complete traffic management solutions, from initial planning and design through to installation, maintenance and removal. Our services include low-speed and high-speed traffic management, traffic management labour supply and specialist support for the utilities, telecommunications, civil engineering, construction and highways sectors.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to help us secure new clients, develop existing accounts and expand our presence across Scotland and Northern England.

The Role

This is a hands-on business development role for someone who is comfortable opening doors, building strong industry relationships and turning opportunities into profitable, long-term contracts.

You will manage the complete sales process, from identifying prospective clients and making the initial approach through to preparing proposals, supporting tender submissions, negotiating commercial terms and handing secured work over to our operational team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the traffic management, highways, utilities, telecommunications, civil engineering and construction sectors.
  • Proactively approach contractors, procurement teams, local authorities and other organisations that regularly require traffic management services.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and become a trusted point of contact for existing and prospective clients.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
  • Arrange and attend client meetings, site visits, networking events and industry functions.
  • Prepare professional proposals, presentations, quotations and capability information.
  • Support the completion of pre-qualification questionnaires, framework applications and tender submissions.
  • Follow opportunities through from initial contact to negotiation, contract award and mobilisation.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the services provided to existing clients.
  • Work closely with the estimating, planning and operational teams to ensure proposed solutions are deliverable, competitive and commercially viable.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts, opportunities and activity using the company’s CRM or sales-tracking system.
  • Provide regular pipeline reports, sales forecasts and progress updates to the company directors.
  • Monitor competitor activity, upcoming projects and developments within our target markets.
  • Represent M&A Traffic Management Solutions professionally and promote our reputation for reliability, safety and quality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
