Business Development Manager – Decarbonisation & Energy Solutions

Drive Growth. Win Major Projects. Help Shape the UK's Net Zero Future.

A truly exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join one of the UK's fastest-growing energy services businesses at a pivotal stage of its growth.

Our client partners with local authorities, NHS Trusts, universities, commercial organisations and major public sector bodies to deliver large-scale decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects. Their solutions include LED Lighting, Solar PV, EV Charging, Heating Solutions and Air Purification, helping organisations reduce energy consumption, lower operating costs and accelerate their journey to Net Zero.

With turnover exceeding £40 million, ambitious but realistic plans to exceed £100 million over the coming years, and approximately 85% of this year's revenue already secured, this is a business offering genuine stability, long-term investment and exceptional career prospects.

The Opportunity

This is a strategic business development role focused on identifying, developing and securing new opportunities across both public and private sector markets.

  • You'll be joining a highly respected business with an outstanding delivery capability and an impressive portfolio of landmark projects.
  • Rather than selling a concept, you'll be introducing proven energy solutions backed by successful delivery for organisations including NHS Trusts, local authorities, educational establishments and other major commercial clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
