Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (£75,000 - £80,000 OTE plus car and benefits)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Location: Remote, with 50% national business travel.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team and help drive our continued growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional with a passion for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering innovative logistics solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
The role will focus on securing new business across Contract Logistics, Transport Solutions, and 3PL services, driving sales growth within the Transport business function and building long-term customer relationships through tailored supply chain solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Joining a high-performing team dedicated to helping customers achieve sustainable growth through innovative logistics solutions.

- Building and cultivating strong relationships within target accounts across the Transport sector, gaining access to key decision-makers and establishing a robust network of contacts.
- Continuously identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
- Taking a proactive approach to developing opportunities within target accounts, responding to incoming RFQs, and mapping key stakeholders to influence decision-making effectively.
- Conducting detailed market, customer, and industry research to understand supply chain challenges, business objectives, and emerging opportunities.
- Developing trusted partnerships with both prospective and existing customers to strengthen our "Customer for Life" commitment while creating a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Working closely with operational, solution design, and business development teams to continuously learn, innovate, and deliver tailored solutions that address customer needs and drive business success.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- A proven track record in Transport Solutions sales and 3PL Contract Logistics business development, with experience identifying, developing, and winning new customer opportunities. Candidates with a strong background in other areas of logistics and supply chain solutions will also be considered.
- Previous sales experience within Transport logistics and supply chain delivering medium to large size deals through a bid and tender lifecycle across multiple opportunities is desirable.
- Demonstratable drive to win new business within a complex large organisation with understanding of bid and tender sales lifecycles.
- Understanding of Transport networks and customer facing experience in a transport operations environment. Transport commercial exposure would also be beneficial.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work to deliver sales targets and drive business growth.
- A strategic mindset and a passion for building long-term customer partnerships.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
