Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid Business Development Manager role based in Harlow / Rotherham, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The Business Development Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities in the UK and European solar markets, focusing on growing relationships with households, commercial clients, and solar installers. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to align product offerings, pricing, and logistics, as well as monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy. The Business Development Manager will also:

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
  • Provide regular performance reports
  • Represent Triple Solar at industry events and trade shows when required

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in business development, B2B sales, or account management, preferably within renewable energy, electrical wholesale, or technical products.
  • Proficiency in lead generation, pipeline management, and negotiation, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Good analytical and commercial skills, including market research, pricing evaluation, and understanding of solar products and solutions.
  • Comfort with CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, organize priorities, and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of the UK solar market; familiarity with European markets is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, industry events, and other Triple Solar locations as needed.
