Business Development Manager - Education
Leeds - Hybrid
Salary - £55,000 + OTE
Monday to Friday
I’m currently recruiting for an exciting Business Development Manager opportunity within the education sector, based in Leeds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven BDM to join an established organisation and take ownership of developing new business, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the education sector, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, and converting opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Developing and executing a proactive business development strategy
- Identifying and winning new education-sector clients
- Building relationships with senior stakeholders, decision-makers, and commissioners
- Managing the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to contract negotiation
- Developing existing relationships and identifying opportunities for growth
- Attending meetings, events, and networking opportunities to build the organisation’s profile
- Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and providing regular commercial reporting
- Working closely with operational and senior leadership teams to ensure client requirements are met
- Monitoring market trends and identifying new opportunities within the education sector

About You
We’re looking for a confident and commercially focused Business Development Manager with:

- Proven B2B business development / sales experience
- Experience within education, training, SEND, children’s services, or a related sector would be highly advantageous
- A strong track record of winning new business and generating revenue
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing a full sales cycle
- Strong negotiation and influencing abilities
- A proactive, target-driven approach
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- The confidence to engage with senior decision-makers
