Business Development Manager
As Business Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in building the commercial foundations of Hotel Gotham Bristol ahead of opening and throughout its first chapter. You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships and driving revenue across the entire hotel, from bedrooms and events to every F&B outlet.
This role is about more than sales, you'll be the face of Gotham in the Bristol market, building relationships, creating opportunities and ensuring the hotel becomes a destination for business, celebrations, dining and unforgettable experiences. You'll be responsible in assisting build our local presence, keeping our socials current and relevant and ensuring Gotham remains distinctive and iconic.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Develop and deliver a proactive sales strategy across bedrooms, events and all F&B outlets
- Identify and secure new business across leisure, group, agency, local and regional markets
- Drive group bedroom revenue, increasing room nights, average rate and overall revenue
- Promote Gotham's F&B experiences, including our signature restaurant, Judges Chambers, GUILT and rooftop bar, COPPER, maximising private hire, dining and corporate opportunities
- Build and nurture strong relationships with local businesses, event agencies, travel partners, and key influencers.
- Generate new business through sales calls, networking, client entertaining, show rounds and industry events
- Work closely with department heads, Reservations, F&B and Operations to ensure opportunities are successfully converted and delivered
- Monitor local competitors, market trends and commercial opportunities, using insight to strengthen Gotham's offering
- Collaborate with PR and Bespoke Hotels Central Marketing to maximise opportunities and maintain an engaging, on-trend Gotham presence across social and local marketing
- Maintain accurate sales activity, leads, accounts and hotel data, while reporting regularly on performance and opportunities
- Represent Hotel Gotham Bristol at industry events and networking opportunities, acting as a true ambassador for the Gotham brand
- Support the hotel's business planning, local marketing, merchandising and pursuit of industry recognition
