I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
There will also be an opportunity to develop relationships with private investors and family offices in connection with our property investment activities, although this will be a secondary part of the role.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Most importantly, you should be able to demonstrate a genuine track record of personally originating new business.
Your background might be in prime residential property, high-end construction, design & build, luxury interiors, property development, estate or buying agency, or another relevant relationship-led sector.
An existing network within the Prime London property market would be valuable, but equally important are your commercial instinct, persistence, ability to build relationships from scratch and follow-through.
You should be confident dealing with senior decision-makers and HNW clients, highly organised, comfortable working towards clear targets and motivated by results.

HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED
This is a results-driven role.
Success will be measured through the quality and value of opportunities generated, new introducer relationships developed, projects secured, repeat business created and, ultimately, profitable new business originated for The Collaborative London.
There is an opportunity to earn materially more for exceptional performance.
We want the person who helps us grow the business to share meaningfully in the value they create.
HOW TO APPLY
Please send your CV to latika@thecollaborativelondon.co.uk and include brief answers to these two questions:

- If you joined The Collaborative tomorrow, where would you look first for our next £1m+ prime residential project?
We are interested in how you think — not a long answer.
