Business Development Manager
Location: Remote, Field based
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a growing sales team and play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships and delivering revenue growth.
The Role:
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies, identifying new markets and building a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
You will combine market insight and commercial thinking with a hands-on approach to sales, networking and relationship development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Researching markets to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends and potential areas for growth.
- Developing and implementing targeted sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
- Identifying, targeting and qualifying new business opportunities through networking, events, inbound enquiries and proactive sales activity.
- Building relationships with key decision-makers and developing opportunities from initial contact through to successful conversion.
- Creating compelling pitches, proposals and commercial solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Managing and maintaining an accurate sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are progressed effectively.
- Preparing regular forecasts, sales plans and performance reports.
- Monitoring competitor activity, industry developments and market trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Representing the business at relevant events, exhibitions and trade shows, including occasional weekend attendance.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams including customer support, technical, service administration, sales administration and finance.
- Ensuring agreed sales processes, pricing procedures and reporting requirements are consistently followed.
- Supporting the development, training and performance of team members.
- Facilitating team meetings, sharing market knowledge and encouraging a collaborative approach to achieving commercial objectives.

About You
We are looking for someone with a proven B2B sales and business development background who is confident generating new business and developing relationships at senior level.

- Proven experience in business development, sales or commercial growth.
- Experience developing and winning new business.
- A strong understanding of customer needs and commercial decision-making.
- Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Catering sales, hospitality, foodservice or related industry experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage multiple opportunities, priorities and deadlines effectively.
- The confidence to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across a wider team.
- A strong track record of delivering against sales targets and commercial objectives.
