Business Development Manager
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team, this role is home based involving regular travel to key sites including Derby.
Here's what you'll be doing

- £65,076-£72,196 + 20% OTE commission

E.ON Utility Solutions is a leading multi-utility provider, connecting residential, commercial, and industrial developments to the grid.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth by developing new business opportunities across key industrial and commercial market segments.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve significant growth year-on-year through and promotion of EON Utility Solutions across target market geography and segments.
- Achieve significant growth year-on-year through both growth in existing markets and promotion of EON Utility Solutions across target market geography and segments.
- Accountability for developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships to drive sales.
- Work closely with customers both new and existing to understand their business requirements, gather competitor intelligence and insight into market offerings to enhance EON Utility Solutions competitiveness.
- Collaborate and win together mentality with operational management, making sure competitive pricing proposals are provided to customers and sales conversion achieved.
- Follow up on leads and enquiries received from both internal and external sources.
- Monitor and report on customer engagement and sales generated.
- Work with the New Business Manager and depot’s commercial engineers in developing their existing customer contacts to drive further growth.
- Support the EON Utility Solutions operational management team through customer relationship management.
- Carry out appropriate hand-over sessions with the operational teams as required when new customers are onboarded and orders secured.
- Development and achievement of both in year sales targets medium-term goals/ targets trough creation of sales pipeline.

What we need from you
- Extensive experience and technical knowledge from working in the utility/ICP sector or a track record of successfully delivering major, complex projects for major construction businesses.
- Proven track record in sales with a focus on business growth and consistently achieving targets.
- Good commercial acumen and able to understand where E.ON can add value to relevant projects over and above the delivery requirements.
- Understanding of contractual terms and conditions and able to advise on their impact to the team.
- Enhanced conflict resolution skills covering internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate understanding of the key benefits of energy saving measures to promote these within the tender.
- Proven experience in identifying and engaging new customers leading to secured orders for work in a contracting environment.
