Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bradford, focused on driving growth across VPS UK&I’s security and property solutions portfolio. This role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, and developing tailored proposals that align with each customer’s risk profile and operational needs. The Business Development Manager will manage the sales cycle from initial contact through negotiation and closing, collaborating closely with operations, marketing, and technical teams to ensure solutions are feasible and deliverable.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within security, facilities management, property services, or a related B2B sector.
  • Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management, with the ability to prioritize opportunities and meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Excellent relationship-building, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities, with a consultative approach to understanding client needs.
  • Competence in preparing and delivering clear proposals, presentations, and tenders, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and commercial awareness, including experience with pricing, margin considerations, and interpreting market and customer data.
  • Effective planning, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently on-site and collaborate across teams.
  • Comfort using CRM systems and standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office) to manage accounts, track activity, and report on performance.
  • Knowledge of risk-based security solutions, property management, or related compliance requirements is
