Business Development Manager / Account Executive - Legal SaaS

Location: Chorley, Lancashire (Hybrid)
Salary: £45,000 Basic
OTE: £90,000 (Uncapped)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a high-growth software business seeking a motivated and consultative Business Development Manager / Account Executive to drive new customer acquisition across the UK legal sector.

This role is focused on selling SaaS solutions to law firms and legal teams, helping legal professionals improve productivity, compliance, client management, workflow automation, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing the complete sales cycle, and building relationships with senior stakeholders within law firms nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and close new business opportunities across the UK legal market.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract signature.
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers including:
    • Managing Partners
    • Practice Managers
    • Operations Directors
    • Legal Operations Leaders
    • Heads of Compliance
    • Partners
    • General Counsel
  • Conduct discovery meetings, product demonstrations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and networking.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates.
  • Work closely with marketing, implementation, and customer success teams.
  • Represent the business at legal industry events and conferences.

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Proven success in B2B software or SaaS sales.
  • Experience managing a consultative sales process.
  • Strong new business hunting and closing ability.
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior business stakeholders.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience selling into: Law firms, Legal departments, Professional services firms, Accountancy practices, Compliance teams, Risk management functions
  • Experience selling solutions such as:
    • Legal Practice Management Systems
    • Case Management Software
    • Document Management Systems
    • Workflow Automation
    • Compliance Technology
    • Risk & Governance Solutions
    • Professional Services SaaS Platforms
  • Existing network within the UK legal sector.
