I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
They're now growing their new-business function and looking for a genuine hunter to help drive that next phase. This isn't a smile-and-dial, transactional sales role, it's consultative and relationship-led, and sales cycles here can run up to a year or more, so you'll need to be comfortable playing the long game and building pipeline steadily rather than chasing quick wins.
What You'll Be Doing
- Proactively generating your own leads through cold outreach, LinkedIn, networking, and door-opening conversations
- Qualifying opportunities using modern sales tools and CRM before handing them over cleanly for delivery
- Building and managing a long-term pipeline across complex, multi-stage sales cycles
- Representing the agency's culture and values in every conversation, this is relationship-led selling, not aggressive sales
- Working closely with the leadership team to shape and grow the new-business function

Who we're looking for:
We're keen to hear from people with a strong hunter background from event services, advertising, media, or other service/consultancy-led sales environments where long, complex sales cycles are the norm.
If you've sold concepts or services rather than products, you're commercially savvy, innovative on the socials and AI, and you're used to a patient, strategic approach rather than a short transactional one, this could be a great fit.
