Business Development Manager - Assessment
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the UKI Head of Sales within the Industrial Sector, the Business Development Manager is responsible for winning new logos and project-based assessment work across priority Industrial markets. This is a growth-critical role focused on market entry, opportunity creation, and converting complex projects into long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, target, and secure new logo clients for assessment services, with a strong focus on project-based opportunities
- Develop and execute proactive business development strategies to penetrate this customer segment
- Own the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through qualification, bid submission, negotiation, and contract award
- Build senior-level relationships with key stakeholders within target organisations
- Lead and contribute to strategic bids and tenders, shaping technical scope, commercial strategy, and value propositions
- Collaborate with internal technical, operations, and delivery teams to ensure proposals are competitive, deliverable, and margin-aligned
- Maintain a robust new business pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- Maintain CRM hygiene, forecast accurately, and contribute to sales reporting
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and client workshops

What You'll Bring:
- Proven success in winning new logo business and securing assessment-led projects in the Industrial environment
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of assessment/training opportunities
- Experience selling into complex organisations
- Demonstrable ability to originate and close high-value, project-based opportunities
- Confidence presenting technical and commercial solutions to senior & executive stakeholders
- Experience managing bids, tenders, and proposals, with a strong grasp of pricing strategy and margin control
