Location: Remote but with regular UK travel

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our Auto-Mobility team and help shape our future growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who excels at identifying new business opportunities, building strategic customer relationships, and delivering innovative logistics solutions to meet complex customer needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact on our business.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sales of contract logistics solutions within the Auto-Mobility sector. You will support customers across the entire supply chain, including inbound logistics, manufacturing operations, finished vehicle logistics, and aftermarket services.

What You'll Do

In this Business Development role, you'll be part of a high-performing, collaborative sales team committed to helping customers thrive - while we actively support your own career growth and success.

  • Develop and leverage constructive relationships with target customers in the Auto-Mobility industry in order to sell contract logistics solutions.
  • Gaining access to key decision-makers and establishing a powerful network to support growth will be key to success in this role.
  • Continuously identify, review, and develop new business opportunities, keeping a strong and active pipeline.
  • Taking a proactive approach, you'll spot opportunities within target customers, respond to incoming bids and tenders (RFQs), and map out and engage key stakeholders to drive success.
  • Through thorough research and customer engagement, you'll uncover supply chain needs and align solutions with their wider business objectives.
  • With your ability to forge strong relationships with new and existing customers, you'll help us maintain our “Customer for Life” ethos, while building a pipeline of exciting new business opportunities.
  • No day is the same when you join us, and you'll probably find yourself wearing many hats. Working closely with other internal teams, you'll constantly be learning how to solve new problems and find exciting solutions to the latest challenges.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience of selling contract logistics solutions and be results-oriented with the ability to win new business to deliver against sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Knowledge of the Auto-Mobility industry and Auto-Mobility supply chains will be highly beneficial but not essential.
  • Proven ability to secure new business opportunities, with experience of working within complex, large-scale organisations and a strong understanding of bid and tender sales processes and lifecycles.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
  • Have a strategic mindset and a passion for building long-term customer partnerships.
  • Have a high attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
