David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a company that helps technology and other B2B businesses gain access to senior enterprise decision-makers, including CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and other C-suite executives, that is seeking to onboard a Business Development Manager to join their team.
Position: Business Development Manager - B2B SaaS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: cold prospecting, engagement, pitch, discovery, objection handling, negotiation and close
- Generate a personal pipeline through cold calling, LinkedIn/Sales Navigator, email outreach, direct prospecting, networking, referrals and lead-generation campaigns
- Engage senior decision-makers directly, including CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and other C-suite executives
- Personally pitch, negotiate and close every opportunity generated, without handing deals off to another closer
- Track and report on outbound activity, meetings generated, qualified opportunities and conversion rates
- Build sustained pipeline and revenue across the year, given the business's ongoing events and commercial activity beyond one or two annual peaks

REQUIREMENTS:
- Native or near-native level of English
- Proven track record of personally closing new business, with the ability to clearly state revenue closed in the last 12 months, average deal size and conversion rate
- Demonstrated experience owning the complete sales cycle, from self-generated prospecting through to signed contract
- Background in B2B SaaS/Technology sales or B2B sponsorship/conference/events sales
- Credible engaging and selling directly to C-suite and enterprise decision-makers
- Comfortable and experienced across multiple outbound channels (cold calling, LinkedIn/Sales Navigator, email, networking, referrals)
- This is a new-business hunter role rather than account management, customer success, inbound sales, or an SDR/BDR role where someone else closes
