Business Development Manager (North)

📍 North of England | Field-Based

Are you a driven Business Development professional with experience in the construction or built environment sector?

We're partnering with a growing and ambitious organisation within the built environment space to recruit a Business Development Manager responsible for driving growth across the North of England.

This is a predominantly new business-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys getting in front of customers, building long-term relationships and developing a strong pipeline of opportunities across a project-led sales environment.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across a portfolio of technical and compliance-led services, working closely with contractors, developers, consultants, architects, and other key stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle. This is a field-based role offering significant autonomy, where success will come from your ability to develop relationships, manage a territory effectively, and convert opportunities over longer sales cycles.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
