About This Role
Are you an experienced Business Development Manager, Sales Manager or Account Manager looking for an opportunity to help shape a new Energy Solutions business? As our Business Development Manager, you’ll work closely with the Head of Sales to develop customers, refine our product offering and build a strong platform for growth across the Power Solutions market.
- Build and develop relationships with new customers, existing Dawsongroup customers and key stakeholders.
- Deliver allocated sales targets while developing a strong pipeline, win rate and customer base.
- Identify new opportunities, market trends and competitive activity to keep our offering relevant.
- Lead negotiations on commercial agreements and support the development of the Business Plan, growth strategy and marketing plan.
- Work collaboratively with other Dawsongroup businesses to promote Energy Solutions and generate intercompany opportunities.
About You
You’ll be commercially minded, relationship focused and comfortable taking ownership in a role where there is genuine scope to shape how the business develops. Experience in Temporary Power Generation, HVAC or an asset based rental business would be advantageous, but it is not essential, and we want to hear from people who can bring relevant transferable experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
