About the Role

We’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join a growing, independent brand experience business creating exhibition stands, events and physical experiences for some of the world’s biggest brands.

This is not a role where you’ll be selling the same outsourced exhibition package as everyone else. The business combines strategy, creative, project management and production under one roof, with its own Greater London workshop, build team, warehouse and modular exhibition stock. This gives clients greater control over quality, cost and delivery, while allowing the team to create more sustainable, reusable alternatives to the single-use stands that still dominate the industry.

You’ll have a genuinely strong story to take to market, supported by an impressive portfolio of international work and proprietary technology that helps brands understand both the financial and environmental cost of their existing exhibition stands.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Responsibilities

The role is focused on opening doors, building relationships and turning conversations into long-term client partnerships. You’ll identify opportunities across exhibitions, trade shows, events and brand experiences, approaching brands with a commercially compelling alternative to the traditional agency model.

About You

You’ll be joining a profitable, owner-led business with an annual turnover of around £5 million and clear plans for growth. There are no unnecessary layers or slow internal processes. You’ll work directly with the owner, have the freedom to shape your territory and be trusted to get on with the job.

You’ll bring experience in new business or business development, ideally gained within exhibitions, events, experiential, brand experience or a related creative industry. More importantly, you’ll be confident starting conversations, developing senior relationships and selling an idea rather than simply responding to briefs.
