We make branded series for organisations that take their content seriously, from global energy analysts to professional bodies and medical device companies. A growing part of our work is video-first content capture at the world's leading congresses and summits, which increasingly extends into brand films and social content.
We also produce our own shows, including Double Jeopardy, The Hidden Wiring and Screenplayers.
The business is growing quickly and profitably, and new business has until now sat almost entirely with the founder. This is the first dedicated commercial hire, which is why there is so much room for growth.
The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager who is ready for a bigger opportunity than their current one. You will build and work your own pipeline, run your own conversations, and close your own deals, with the founder alongside you rather than above you.
Brands come to us to build their own show, developed and produced end to end.
Our expertise is event-led podcast and video work at congresses and summits, which is where our people, kit and reputation are seen at their best.
You will sell all of it, with a particular focus on sustainable energy, healthcare and life sciences, and professional services. Including where clients show up on their industry conference and events calendar, which is where our sharpest growth sits.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Where This Leads
This role is deliberately structured as a route to Commercial Director. Moving into the Commercial Director title means demonstrating, over roughly 18 to 24 months:
- Consistent delivery against target
- Opportunities progressed and closed independently
- Sound commercial judgement on pricing, scoping and knowing when to walk away
- The credibility to represent TPG at exec level with clients and partners
What You Will Do
Build the pipeline
- Own a target list of named brands, built around our strategic client goals
- Run consistent, well-researched outbound: email, LinkedIn, calls and in-person at events
- Qualify hard and early, so time goes on opportunities that are real
- Keep a steady rhythm of first meetings every week
Run and close opportunities
- Lead discovery conversations and translate what you hear into the right proposition
- Build proposals
- Price within an agreed framework
- Negotiate and close, then hand over cleanly to the production team
- Sell the whole offer: branded series, event-led video capture, social content and brand films
Support the commercial side of our own shows
- Help build the sponsorship proposition for our owned inventory of shows
Keep the commercial operation tight
- Own HubSpot: every lead, stage, value and next action accurate and current
- Contribute a monthly summary of activity, pipeline movement and forecast
- Represent TPG at industry and client events
