Business Development Manager

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Bristol & South West team. In this role, you’ll help us sign up the best restaurants across Bristol and the South West/Wales region, improving our proposition for customers and identifying ways to continue our fast growth.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Regional UK & Ireland team, reporting to the Regional Manager. We are experts in the local markets we serve, and this role is all about being out on the road, finding hidden gems, and being the face of Deliveroo in the South West and Wales.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
- Strategic Prospecting: Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurants across your region, acting as a city-level expert who knows exactly which up-and-coming spots customers crave most.
- Multi-channel Outreach: Communicate with restaurant owners through physical visits, calls, and digital platforms to demonstrate the value of Deliveroo’s technology.
- Seamless Onboarding: Oversee the partner onboarding process from start to finish to ensure it is as quick, efficient, and seamless as possible.
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure restaurant success within the critical first eight weeks of signing to guarantee long-term growth on the platform.
- Community Immersion: Attend restaurant and food meet-ups and sample food from high-quality establishments to stay ahead of market trends.

What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
- Sales & Negotiation: Proven experience in targeting new business and the ability to structure win-win deals for both partners and Deliveroo.
- Commercial Knowledge: A strong understanding of the economics of food delivery and the ability to work effectively towards demanding monthly targets.
- Exceptional Communication: Confidence in building relationships face-to-face, over the phone, and via email with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Operational Ownership: A tenacious, self-motivated approach to managing your own territory and taking full ownership of your results.
- Mobility: A valid driving licence and access to a car are required, as you will be frequently travelling across Bristol and the surrounding areas.
