Business Development Manager – Broker-Led SME Lending

Successful SME Lender | London, Yorkshire, Midlands or North West | Hybrid

A fantastic opportunity to join a successful, well-funded SME lender as it continues to expand its presence across the UK.

Our client is an established lender with a strong track record, a respected brand and significant blue-chip investment supporting the next phase of its growth. They are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new business through the broker market and build strong, long-term relationships with introducers across their chosen region.

The Role

Working within an established sales team, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing relationships with commercial finance brokers, generating new lending opportunities and bringing the breadth of our client’s lending proposition to market.

This is a relationship-led role for someone who understands the broker market, knows how to develop introducer relationships and is confident converting opportunities through to completion.

The lending proposition is broad and includes:

  • Merchant cash advances
  • Unsecured business loans
  • Term debt
  • Bridging finance
  • Development finance
  • Secured business lending
  • Bespoke funding solutions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Growth opportunity. Join a business with ambitious plans and the opportunity to grow your broker network and contribution as the lender continues to scale.
  • Flexible location. The role can be based in London, Yorkshire, the Midlands or the North West, depending on your existing network and market coverage.
