BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Builders Merchants (National) – UK
Develop and drive sustainable national growth across the UK Builder Merchant sector by developing and executing a strategic approach that increases sales, distribution, and market share for Gerflor and Gradus product portfolios.
YOUR ROLE:
- Develop and implement a national business development strategy for Builders Merchants
- Identify and secure new merchant partnerships and distribution opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with key merchant groups and senior decision-makers
- Negotiate national supply agreements, product listings and promotional activities
- Increase product visibility, availability and market penetration across merchant networks
- Work closely with Sales, Specification and Marketing teams to maximise business opportunities
- Manage pipeline development, forecasting, CRM activities and reporting
- Deliver sales, profit and growth targets in line with company objectives

Requirements:
- Proven experience in Business Development, Key Account Management or National Account Management
- Strong understanding of the UK Builders Merchant market and buying groups
- Successful track record in developing strategic customer partnerships
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience within flooring, construction products, interiors or building materials
- Existing network within major UK merchant groups would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
