About the Role
We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Professional to help accelerate our established partners growth within the semiconductor industry.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in identifying new markets, developing customer relationships and creating strategic opportunities that support the company's long-term growth. You will combine market intelligence, customer engagement and commercial development to build a strong and sustainable pipeline of new business.
Working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams, you will identify emerging opportunities, understand customer and market requirements, develop relationships with prospective customers and partners, and help turn market opportunities into measurable business growth.
The successful candidate will be curious, commercially aware and confident engaging with customers and industry stakeholders. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, technology-led environment and motivated by the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing business development activities and contribute to the development and delivery of future growth strategies.
- Monitor semiconductor industry trends, market developments, customer requirements and competitive activity to identify emerging opportunities.
- Research and identify new markets, prospective customers, applications and strategic opportunities aligned with the company's capabilities and growth objectives.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified business opportunities.
- Create and execute targeted business development and outreach activities to identify, engage and qualify prospective customers and partners.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with prospective customers, existing accounts, strategic partners and key industry stakeholders.
- Engage with customers to understand their technical, commercial and strategic requirements and identify opportunities where the company's products and capabilities can deliver value.
- Work closely with senior management and relevant internal teams to assess opportunities, develop propositions and progress potential business.
- Support the development of customer and market strategies, including target accounts, market-entry opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Maintain accurate records of business development activity, opportunities and customer interactions, providing regular updates and insight to management.
- Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, industry events, conferences and other relevant forums.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations and other strategic relationships that can support long-term growth.
- Continuously evaluate market feedback and competitor activity and use these insights to inform business development priorities.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience in business development, sales, commercial development, account management or a related role.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships with customers, suppliers, partners and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against objectives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn market and customer information into actionable opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High levels of personal and professional integrity, accountability and ethical standards.
Desirable
- Experience within the semiconductor, complex electronics or technology sectors.
- Existing network of contacts within the semiconductor or wider electronics industry.
- Experience developing relationships with OEMs, semiconductor companies, technology partners or other industrial customers.
- Experience working with technically complex products or solutions.
- Understanding of semiconductor markets, supply chains, applications or technology trends.
- Experience working across international markets.

The Person
We are looking for someone who is commercially driven, curious and proactive. You will enjoy opening doors, developing relationships and finding opportunities where others may not see them.
You should be comfortable working with both technical and commercial stakeholders, able to communicate complex ideas clearly, and confident representing the company externally. Most importantly, you will take ownership of your objectives, be motivated by results and have the energy and resilience required to develop opportunities from initial contact through to commercial engagement.
Travel to industry shows and company sites across the UK is expected, with some yearly visits to Europe. Our partner is open to hiring someone on a permanent/staff basis, or on a contract basis.
