About Trueform
Trueform Outdoor Media is a pioneering Out of Home (OOH) advertising, digital signage, and street furniture company. Part of the Trueform Manufacturing & Technologies Group, Trueform Outdoor Media provides a unique end-to-end proposition, combining media sales and advertising with in-house supply, installation, and maintenance services for roadside street furniture assets.
With over 45 years of experience, Trueform has equipped towns and cities across the UK and internationally with innovative street furniture, signage, and digital signage solutions.
Trueform Outdoor Media is now developing and expanding its own media estate, principally across roadside digital 6-sheet assets, creating a growing network of high-quality local advertising opportunities.
As the estate continues to grow, we are building our own dedicated sales team to develop revenue directly from independent media agencies, local and regional agencies, and brands/direct advertisers.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at an early stage of its media growth and play a key role in establishing and growing Trueform Outdoor Media's commercial presence.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of OOH Sales, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new commercial opportunities and generating advertising revenue across Trueform Outdoor Media's growing digital estate.
This is a highly proactive, new-business-focused role. You will have significant autonomy to identify and pursue opportunities across independent media agencies, regional agencies, SMEs, local businesses, and brands/direct advertisers.
The successful candidate will build relationships from the ground up, develop a strong prospect pipeline, and convert opportunities into long-term advertising partnerships.
Initially focused on the Southeast and Midlands, the role will work across specific locations and digital assets, identifying the businesses and agencies most likely to benefit from the available media opportunities.
As the Trueform Outdoor Media estate develops, so will the role, with significant opportunity for progression and increased responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing new business opportunities across independent media agencies, regional agencies, and direct advertisers.
- Identifying and targeting local, regional, and national brands with a relevant presence within Trueform's media locations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with business owners, marketing decision-makers, agency contacts, and media buyers.
- Proactively prospecting through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, events, and face-to-face meetings.
- Building and managing a structured sales pipeline, from initial prospecting through to signed order and payment.
- Taking ownership of individual locations and digital assets, identifying the strongest commercial opportunities within each area.
- Understanding clients' business and marketing objectives and developing concise, compelling OOH propositions to meet those objectives.
- Presenting and selling digital OOH opportunities to clients and agencies, demonstrating the value of location, audience, visibility, and frequency.
- Generating maximum revenue and yield from the available digital estate.
- Developing repeat business and long-term relationships with successful advertisers.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, sales activity, pipeline data, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.
- Tracking activity levels, opportunities, orders, and panel yields against agreed KPIs.
- Working closely with the Head of OOH Sales to develop and execute the wider sales strategy.
- Working collaboratively with Trueform's wider sales teams, including specialist and media agency sales, to identify opportunities and maximise revenue.
- Providing regular market intelligence and feedback to help shape the development of Trueform Outdoor Media's products, packages, and sales proposition.
- Representing Trueform Outdoor Media at relevant local business, networking, and industry events.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
