Role Summary
We are looking to hire a Business Development Manager for Capital Markets to build on our strong and established presence in the UK standby (back-up servicing) market. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships across the financial services sector, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a proven ability to engage and sell credibly into financial services organisations, and the discipline to effectively manage opportunities across multiple stages of the sales lifecycle.
What you will be doing
- Increase our standby (backup servicing) proposition penetration of providers of mortgage services, mortgage lenders and specialist/non-standard financial services firms.
- Manage an account list of existing clients.
- Manage an account list of existing and new funders.
- Deliver against Standby Servicing monthly and annual sales growth targets.
- Generate a pipeline of new sales opportunities and convert these into new business agreements.
- Lead tender responses and own the new business transactions through the deal pipeline.
- Partner with the sales support team to ensure smooth client experience from inception through to deal closure and operationalisation.
- Expand service provision to existing clients.
- Represent Lenvi at industry events.
- Record interactions with leads on the CRM system (salesforce based).
- Support in contract preparation.
- Work with the broader sales team to identify opportunities for cross-sales of other Lenvi products.
- Foster strong relationships across all Lenvi departments supporting us in our mission to become client’s partner of choice for the services we provide.

What we would like to see from your application
- You are a seasoned sales representative with experience in Financial Services and / or Capital Markets.
- You have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- You will have a proven track record in generating new business prospects, managing a pipeline of opportunities and delivering new business agreements.
- You are a self-starter, able to manage the demands of fast-growing, yet well-established fintech.
- You are structured and able to prioritise business and client demands appropriately.
- You bring a professional network of contacts within UK or European banks, lenders, investment funds or other key financial services institutions.
Experience in
- A degree in a related discipline or over 5 years of relevant financial services experience.
- Knowledge of capital markets and the asset backed security (ABS) market is preferable.
- Experience or previous proximity to the ratings process with a major ratings agency (Fitch, S&P, Moody) would be beneficial but is not a core requirement.
- Any experience of financial services within mainland Europe or proficiency in another European language would prove an advantage but is not a core requirement.
