Business Development Manager – Ulrich Attachments

About Us
Ulrich Attachments is a UK manufacturer of high-quality attachments for the construction, agricultural, waste, recycling, and materials handling sectors. We design, manufacture & supply innovative attachment solutions, including a wide range of wheeled loader & telehandler attachments, including buckets, couplers, fork attachments and specialist military equipment, and have recently launched a modular product including grabs, clamps & tree shears etc. supplying dealers, end users, and OEM partners across the UK and beyond.
As we continue to expand, we are looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, strengthen OEM relationships, and identify opportunities for new products and product enhancements.
The Role
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in growing the Ulrich Attachments brand and increasing market share. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing strategic customer relationships, and promoting our expanding range of modular attachments and specialist products.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of Ulrich’s attachment range, including modular products, grabs, buckets, and specialist attachments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, machinery manufacturers, dealers, and key accounts.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across construction, agriculture, waste, recycling, and industrial sectors.
- Work closely with customers to understand application requirements and recommend suitable attachment solutions.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to support bespoke projects and product developments.
- Identify opportunities for product upgrades, improvements, and new product introductions based on market feedback.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and emerging opportunities.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial agreements.
- Represent Ulrich Attachments at trade shows, exhibitions, customer events, and industry meetings.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in business development, technical sales, or account management.
- Background within plant machinery, attachments, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, materials handling, or related industries.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Experience dealing with OEMs, manufacturers, dealers, or large industrial customers.
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
- Self-motivated, driven, and capable of working independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable
- Experience selling hydraulic attachments, grabs, buckets, or machinery.
- Technical understanding of fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing processes.
- Existing industry contacts within OEMs, dealers, or fleet operators.
