Job Description
Purpose of Position
As a Business Development Manager your primary objective will be to achieve the company’s aligned revenue target for new business in the role. You will be expected to develop a continuous pipeline of prospects in order to achieve this objective.
Key Task & Responsibilities
- Identifying and developing a prospect funnel sufficient in size to fund new business targets as per the Company's strategic plan.
- Monitoring performance of new customers to ensure they trade to an agreed profile. Agree and deliver action plans if variances occur.
- Aim to successfully handover all new accounts within a 13 week period to the relevant Account Manager
- Demonstrate commercial awareness through the need to maximise contribution and revenue generating streams such as surcharges on accounts
- To adhere to the relevant onboarding and implementation processes for new customers to ensure a smooth transition to DPD
- Achieving all portfolio product targets and embrace all new products as and when launched by the company
- Obtaining all the correct documentation and information required for all accounts particularly those where special category onboarding is needed
- To strive for the 100+ qualification criteria each year
- Updating and managing a SalesForce database ensuring compliance at all times
- Ad hoc reporting or project requirements as set by General Manager - Business Development.

You will be passionate about delivering amazing service every day. Your career history will demonstrate experience in high level, corporate business development and a strong network of contacts within the industry and target markets.
