Business Development Manager – Commercial Fire

Location: Remote

Wisualarm is a global fire safety manufacturer and a subsidiary of Dahua Technology. As part of our continued growth in the UK market, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the expansion of our Commercial Fire business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve commercial fire sales targets across the UK.
  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the commercial fire sector.
  • Build and maintain relationships with installers, system integrators, consultants, distributors, and end users.
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline and project portfolio.
  • Deliver customer presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
  • Contribute to the development of the UK Commercial Fire business plan.
  • Provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights.
  • Support the successful introduction and positioning of new products within the UK market.
  • Represent Wisualarm at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the UK Commercial Fire industry.
  • Proven track record in business development or sales within the fire detection sector.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial fire alarm systems and fire detection technologies.
  • Good understanding of BS 5839, EN54, and UK fire industry practices.
  • FIA training certification, FIA qualifications, or recognised fire industry CPD certifications.
  • Existing network of contacts within the UK fire industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Experience working for a fire alarm manufacturer or distributor.
  • Knowledge of conventional, addressable, and specialist fire detection solutions.
  • Experience with ASD, flame detection, or video fire detection technologies.
